ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF SPRING
Day of Fun for Families and Individuals, 8 A.M. to 3 P.M.
SAT., APRIL 13, 2019
Bring Your Lunch to Enjoy the Whole Day or Drop By for a While.
This annual event is held the 2nd Saturday in April. There is no admission fee. Everything is free except purchases from vendors and boat rides. The boat rides will be $5 per person. Children must be over 3 years of age and accompanied by an adult to ride on a boat.
This will be a full day of fun for adults and families. It will include wildflower and nature hikes, live entertainment, wild animal shows (including the ever popular NHECM with Bob Tarter and his animals), face painting, boat rides and more. This year we're adding some crafts and food vendors
Registration will open at 8:00 a.m. at the Visitors Center for the hikes. The rest of the happenings will be at the Peninsula, next to the Courtesy Dock.
In addition to foods from vendors there will be sandwiches and cold drinks available at the Big Rock Market across from the park entrance, a corporate sponsor of the Friends of Edgar Evins State Park. Everyone is also welcome to bring a picnic lunch. There are tables in several places in the park. The public is welcome to use any picnic tables except the ones in the campgrounds are only for registered campers and their guests.
