In 2017 members of Friends of Edgar Evins State Park contributed 5,346.5 hours and traveled over 27,660.5 miles for the park! Wow! Great job! Thanks to all!
Friends of Edgar Evins State Park are from all walks of life and are all ages. Our members are from across Middle Tennessee, not just living next to the park. We support the park and its staff in a myriad of ways including fundraising events such as the History Hayride, Waterfall Tour and Fall Color Boat Cruise, and through hundreds of volunteer hours. Some people attend all the bi-monthly meetings and help with every event. That i s especially nice but not required. Some members provide manpower and talents to make one or more events possible during the year and never attend a meeting. That is okay too. We can use you and your help even if you do not have a lot of time to give.
There are so many possibilities for volunteers in our group. Some of these are listed and illustrated in pictures under the Help Wanted tab. Here are a few more pictures of various ways Friends have helped. Of course, not all the things we do are listed or pictured. If you would like to find out more just ask a Friend.
